Another week and another potential 2012 Republican presidential contender falls victim to a sex scandal.
Not that our Senator John Ensign was considered an early top-tier candidate, though on hair alone he could have given Mitt Romney a hell of a run, but South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford had the potential to be one. He was already quite popular with the fiscal conservative wing of the GOP.
But, while the American public as a whole can be pretty forgiving, and we are at least two years away from the official start to the presidential campaign season, I would think this kind of story is poison to a majority of Republican primary voters. He is probably toast.
Oh, and the movie "Outrage" will probably short-circuit any 2012 run by Florida's Charlie Crist.

Can we say 45 is feeling a lot better about things now. Oh, 45 = Mitt Romney. Palin will be looking at Alaska while Mitt is moving into the White House in January 2013.
I think Sarah Palin just needs more experience and has to do more "homework". So she might be a far better politician. But at her current state she really would have been a bad vice president.
