I guess the saying "you snooze, you lose" does have merit. I received an email survey from Nevada assemblyman Ty Cobb (AD-26) Wednesday and started a post, but left it in draft. I was mainly going to talk about his use of technology, he does send stuff somewhat frequently, as well as his soliciting input on his plan for accepting Yucca Mountain. But by the time I got around to it today, I found that not only had MrJerz already posted it, but he also included a picture of said survey, some thoughts on Yucca himself and generally did a lot better job than I was planning. So go over there and check it out.

Haha. My kids were screaming at me, "Hurry up, Dullard Mush will have this up in no time!" as I was writing feverishly.
I think Cobb is using technology well, too. He certainly fits the demo for incorporating it. He still has a ways to go before matching what David Bobzien is doing, but the emails are very effective, and he has gotten pretty serious about grabbing up friends on Facebook.
My Yucca thoughts really have been bouncing around for a long time, so I am just glad he prodded me into doing that.
You're right. At some point they have to make a decision. I mean they have been pouring billions of everyone's tax dollars into this for years. Whether you keep it in hundreds of spots around the country or ship it to Yucca you are going to have NIMBYs complaining.
It is interesting Cobb is out behind this. Saying you're pro-Yucca is usually considered political suicide. So it's a ballsy move.
It does make me laugh, though, how all the Cobbgobbler and Disney idiots tried to paint Cobb as a RINO. He's turned out to be the most conservative legislator in Nevada.
