Man on Barack Obama email list laments the fact that of the last 50 mailings he has received only two dealt with issues and two-thirds of the remaining were strictly fundraising appeals.
He's lucky he wasn't on John Edwards' list.

If he means that BO has a little, "Donate" Button on the emails then it is true.
It also would be true for every other candiate out there including Gravel, Paul McCain and even Dennis Kucinch.
This post smells like "Spin" to me.
If you read the guy's post I linked to he said that two-thirds of the emails were specifically asking for money, not just a button. Everybody has a button.
As someone who has received over 1,200 and counting campaign emails I can vouch for the fact that every candidate asks for money, but some are more egregious than others. John Edwards/Joe Trippi was by far the most annoying when it came to asking for money. The bulk of their 100+ emails were various fundraising gimmicks.
My mailings from Barack Obama don't indicate that level of fundraising requests. But then, I haven't sent any money to the Obama camp. That might explain why the guy I linked to has had 50 emails in the past three months while I've received only 44 since July.
Once you get someone to open their wallets, for anything, the mail just keeps coming.
I don't think the guy's post was spin. It seemed more like someone getting tired of constantly being bugged for money. An affliction most of us can relate to.
